Getting married in Thailand is not a complex process but it involves bureaucratic procedure, document preparation, translations and coordination of activities and authorities. LCS can take care of the paperwork for you. The actual marriage registration can be carried out in one day at a local district office. The process for foreigners and Thais is the same, with the difference of the documents required. Foreigners usually also register their marriage at the Embassy or Consulate in Thailand.

Required Paperwork for marriage registration

·      Passport copy together with the arrival card; an ID card if Thai national.

·      Documents regarding previous marriages (if any).

·      Embassy-issued affidavit serving as a proof of marital status; if Thai a House Registration Book (“Thabian Baan”)

Translated copy of the above into Thai language and further certified by an approved Ministry of Foreign Affairs translator.
